SYNOPSIS
Kaveh Nabatian brought together seven talented directors to create a work like none other: a mesmerizing odyssey, part contemplative fiction, part elegiac documentary, part pure artistic experimentation. This group film is centred on The Seven Last Words of Christ, Joseph Haydn’s most personal oratorio, composed in 1786. The lush and captivating music drives seven narrative threads (forgiveness, acceptance, relationship, abandonment, distress, triumph and life after death) in as many tableaux that shift with ease through different worlds, fragments and emotions.
