SYNOPSIS
In 2002, in the fall of their 16th year, Maxime, Guérin and J-P find the recipe for a pipe bomb on the Internet. When Guérin decides to build it in his parents’ shed, Maxime volunteers to help. But the bomb isn’t his main concern. He rather sees it as an opportunity to get closer to Guérin’s older sister, the intriguing Joëlle.

Born in Saguenay, Guillaume Harvey first finished a software engineering degree before coming back to his first love, cinema. He started by completing a certificate in scriptwriting, wich led him to co-direct his first short movie, POST-, selected by the Rendez-vous du Cinéma Québécois in 2013. He then started a filmmaking
degree at UQAM, where he continued his studies in directing. In the years spent at UQAM, he directed the short documentary Chercher le trouble, selected by the Quebec Student Film Festival (FFEQ) in 2014, and the short fiction Coyotes, selected in different festivals in 2015 (Rendez-vous du Cinéma Québecois, Angoulême’s Short Film Festival in France, etc.). He spent his last year of his degree writing and directing Une Bombe, his most ambitious short yet.
