Marianne Métivier stands out with her first short film “Raspberry” (2013) directed at the age of nineteen, selected in competition at the Festival du Nouveau Cinéma and in the Coup de Coeur program of the Short Film Corner in Cannes. In 2016, she graduated from the Directing program at the University of Quebec at Montreal, where she won the School of Media’s best fiction award with her film “The Passage of the Migratory Bird” (2016). Inspired by her travels around the world, Marianne explores human relations and the pivotal moments of a life. “She Who Wears the Rain” (2019) is premiere at the Berlinale Shorts Competition in 2020. Marianne is currently developing her first fiction feature “Une Splendeur de vivre” and her first documentary “Back Home” for which she received a development grant at the Talent Lab of the RIDM (2020).
