h264 is a distribution studio supporting filmmakers and producers in the distribution and sales of feature films, both in Canada and internationally.

Jean-Christophe J. Lamontagne is president and founder of h264, a Quebec-based company specialized in film distribution and international sales. He works closely with independent filmmakers to bring their works to Canadian and international audiences. Through h264, he has developed a strong expertise in launching films at festivals and on digital platforms. His work includes Oscar-nominated short films like Fauve, Marguerite and Invincible, as well as internationally acclaimed feature films such as Red Rooms and Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person. He actively contributes to shaping the future of Quebec’s audiovisual sector, notably regarding issues of discoverability, exportation and innovation, with a constant attention to the way films circulate, meet their audience and resonate with people around the world.

Mélissandre joined h264 in 2026 as Director of Distribution and Marketing. Following a decade at Bell Media, where she built extensive experience in marketing, strategy and team management, leading high-profile multiplatform initiatives, notably for Crave and Noovo, she chose to move into the film industry, bringing together her professional expertise and longstanding passion for cinema. Curious and creative, she is known for her collaborative leadership and ability to navigate complex projects. She now applies this background to the films at h264, helping foster meaningful connections between films and their audiences.

Léa-Marie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Film Studies from Université de Montréal, as well as a Certificate in Communications from Université Laval. She joined h264 in 2020 as Short Film Distribution Coordinator. She later became Distribution and Communications Manager, where she supported several films throughout their distribution journeys and notably contributed to the promotion of Invincible, which was nominated for an Oscar. She then continued her career at h264 in feature film, where she gained a deeper understanding of the various stages involved in a film’s release, from launch strategy to relationships with different partners. She currently serves as Associate Director - Marketing and Communications. She is particularly interested in film positioning and the different ways to showcase films, an aspect of her work that allows her to draw on her creativity and explore new approaches.

With a bachelor’s degree in Cultural and Media Production Strategies from UQAM and a passion for cinema, Fiona D’Amours joins the h264 team as a Distribution Coordinator with great enthusiasm. Her background includes producing documentary and fiction short films that were selected for various festivals, such as the FNC and FCVQ. Indeed, it is through her involvement in these festivals that she has truly flourished. At h264, she aims to give back to cinema what it has given to her.

Andréa completed a bachelor’s degree in international relations and a bachelor’s degree in law. During her studies, her main field of interest being human rights, she worked as coordinator of the International Human Rights Clinic at UQAM and also completed an internship at the Human Rights Tribunal. She then pursued her professional career in the administrative field in several organizations with missions that were close to her heart, including La Pépinière Espace collectif—an organization working in urban design—and the Société de développement social—an organization working in the field of homelessness and social inclusion. Throughout her employment, she has developed skills in administration, accounting and governance that make her an asset to the team. She is detail-oriented and enjoys being a helpful resource to her colleagues and collaborators.
