Jean-Christophe J. Lamontagne is copresident and founder of h264, a Quebec-based company specialized in film distribution and international sales. He works closely with independent filmmakers to bring their works to Canadian and international audiences. Through h264, he has developed a strong expertise in launching films at festivals and on digital platforms. His work includes Oscar-nominated short films like Fauve, Marguerite and Invincible, as well as internationally acclaimed feature films such as Red Rooms and Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person. He actively contributes to shaping the future of Quebec’s audiovisual sector, notably regarding issues of discoverability, exportation and innovation, with a constant attention to the way films circulate, meet their audience and resonate with people around the world.

Stéphanie Demers has been dedicated to the marketing and circulation of films for more than 15 years. She cultivates a sensitive approach to distribution, keeping track of the films as they travel and meet new audiences. After a stint at Alliance Vivafilm (Les Films Séville), she took over the management of Fragments Distribution, founded by François Delisle. In 2020, she co-piloted the acquisition of Fragments Distribution by h264, which she became a partner of in order to develop its feature film distribution branch. Meanwhile, she is also actively involved in the Quebec film ecosystem. She is the cofounder of AIME TON CINÉMA and vice-president of the Regroupement des distributeurs indépendants de films du Québec.

Léa-Marie Montreuil joined the h264 team in 2020 as Distribution Coordinator, where she participated in the deployment of several short film projects. She then took the lead of Communications and Distribution for short films, and notably accompanied Invincible, nominated for an Oscar. Today, she is Head of Communications and Distribution for feature films, as she keeps on contributing to Quebec cinema’s reach, a mission close to her heart.

Andréa completed a bachelor’s degree in international relations and a bachelor’s degree in law. During her studies, her main field of interest being human rights, she worked as coordinator of the International Human Rights Clinic at UQAM and also completed an internship at the Human Rights Tribunal. She then pursued her professional career in the administrative field in several organizations with missions that were close to her heart, including La Pépinière Espace collectif—an organization working in urban design—and the Société de développement social—an organization working in the field of homelessness and social inclusion. Throughout her employment, she has developed skills in administration, accounting and governance that make her an asset to the team. She is detail-oriented and enjoys being a helpful resource to her colleagues and collaborators.

Each film is unique. We work closely with creators to conceive distribution strategies adapted to their vision and the reality of their distribution. Our objective: to make sure the film travels far and wide, create bridges with the audience and accompany each film to the full extent of its potential.
