Roger, a soon-to-be-retired lumberjack from Quebec’s Basses-Laurentides, is enjoying his last summer at work with Charles, his apprentice, who will take the reins of the company at the end of the season. Charles-Émile Lafrance is a Montreal-based independent filmmaker. Having completed a degree in Film Studies at University of Montreal in 2017, he immediately started directing his first film : Code forestier. While constantly developing projects on the side, Charles-Émile also works in audio post production on television productions.
