SYNOPSIS
Sasha is a young vampire with a serious problem: she’s too sensitive to kill! When her exasperated parents cut off her blood supply, Sasha’s life is in jeopardy. Luckily, she meets Paul, a lonely teenager with suicidal tendencies who is willing to give his life to save hers. But their friendly agreement soon becomes a nocturnal quest to fulfill Paul’s last wishes before day breaks.

DIRECTOR’S BIOGRAPHIE
Ariane’s award-winning directorial debut, Wild Skin (2016), premiered at TIFF and traveled to more than 50 festivals worldwide. Her next short, Little Waves had its European premiere at Berlinale and made the TIFF Canada’s Top Ten list in 2018. The Depths also premiered at TIFF in 2019 and went on to screen at the Cinéfest Sudbury International Film Festival, where it won the Audience Choice Award for Best Short Film.
In addition to devoting herself to writing her first feature film Humanist Vampire Seeking Suicidal Person, Ariane is currently touring festivals with her new short film Shooting Star, which had its world premiere at TIFF 2020. The film won the Audience Award at the Festival du Nouveau Cinéma and the Prix Télébec at the Festival du cinéma international in Abitibi-Témiscamingue.
