Synopsis

For the first time in decades, Simon and Jonathan agree : the religious masquerade around their father’s funeral is not at all like his. And if they dared to do otherwise? An innocuous idea that becomes a vertiginous adventure. Secluded in a houseboat, navigating the winding expanse of Goin Reservoir, Simon and Jonathan have no choice but to confront what they have become, reconnect with themselves and reveal themselves to each other. Supposedly a commemoration, this fishing trip becomes a real life lesson.

Filmography

Kim St-Pierre moved to Montreal in 2002 and fell into the Kino movement like Obelix into the magic potion. While studying communication, screenwriting, and production at UQAM, she split her time between student strikes, the Jeux de la communication, a beloved job at a video store, and appearances on TV quiz shows. Over the next decade, she produced and directed more than 30 independent short films, traveling internationally to festivals. After working in music videos with NÚFilms and in distribution with Les Films du 3 mars, Kim returned to school to study directing in L’Inis’s film program. She later stood out with Vodka canneberge, earning a Special Jury Mention at the Fantasia International Film Festival. She went on to direct Le pixel mort (TV5) and Le chum de ma mère est un extraterrestre (SRC Jeunesse), both selected for Gémeaux and Numix awards and the La Rochelle WebTV Festival. Réservoir marks her return to screenwriting and cinema, as well as her transition from short to feature filmmaking.
