Noémie D. Leclerc is a Quebec filmmaker, author, and multidisciplinary artist. In 2018, at the age of 21, she published her first novel, Darlène, with Québec Amérique. The project, accompanied by her visuals and a soundtrack created by singer-songwriter Hubert Lenoir, continues to influence a new generation of local artists. Her early ventures into imagery within the alternative music scene allowed her to develop a distinctive, modern style that also resonates with Quebec’s tradition of cinéma vérité and ONF/NFB legendary filmmakers. The Best Way Is by Accident is her directorial debut.
